The latest men’s fashion styles and trends have been unveiled at the 2024 TECNO Ghana menswear week event in Accra.
Over the weekend of August 31 to September 1, 2024 at the World Trade Center Accra, the best of continents menswear designers gathered to showcase the latest trends in men’s fashion in spectacular runway presentation and show cases.
Day one of the event was strictly focused on Ghanaian Streetwear brands in the fields of sustainable fashion doing amazing work in the streetwear domain.
Dubbed #ABONTEN, the outdoor fashion street fashion show featured Colony Ghana, Heartless Society, Famous, Clapes Department, John & Co, I Fashion and the show curator Dapper Jaden featuring Ryker collection was nothing short of spectacular with variety to choose from by the many street fashion enthusiast who had come in their numbers to witness and buy from the designers from the show’s street market concept where patrons get to shop the attires they see directly from the runway.
Day two’s event was indoors and featured Senegal’s Mounir Moda, Guinea’s Pagne De Luxe, Nigeria’s El Bryte and Kingsdrobe, Benin’s Lionel Corea, Riche Ou Rien and Teed while Ghana was heavily represented by Kojo Boadi, Quophi Akotua Men, Mr. Kels Gh, Selina Beb, eHelp Brands (Akosua Fashion), Creative Universe and Popderi. The creativity and variety in menswear presented on one stage was simply amazing and a delight to watch.
One of the evening’s highlights was the TECNO Show, a special segment where designers created bespoke attires inspired by the CAMON 30’s colour palette. Models walked the runway holding CAMON 30 devices, illustrating how the smartphones complement modern life.
This fusion of fashion and cutting-edge technology created a visually stunning display, reinforcing the CAMON 30 as a symbol of innovation and style.
TECNO Ghana Menswear week 2024 will go down as one of the best fashion shows on the continent from production, to designers and models choice and overall excitement and we can’t wait to see what is in store as the event celebrates its tenth anniversary with the GOLD EDITION next year.
