Celebrated Ghanaian fashion brand Selina Beb over the weekend won the “Accessories Designer of the Year” and honored for the “Most Innovative Fashion Brand” at the FashionGHANA Honors & Awards event which was held at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleom.
The iconic location for this year’s awards event saw many industry giants and personalities in attendance to be celebrated and recognized for their various contributions to the fashion industry.
Sharing her excitement and appreciation for the recognition, Selina Bebaako-Mensah, CEO and Creative Director of Selina Beb Designs said “I am humbled to receive these awards and recognition. I would like to thank the organizers FashionGHANA, my Selina Beb Team, my PR Manager Faith Senam, Clients and friends of the brand. It really feels empowering to receive this in front of the statue of Osagyego Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the First President of the Republic of Ghana”
These awards come in the wake of recent achievements for the brand after being listed on Beyoncé’s “‘Black Parade” directory on beyonce.com and working tirelessly to push the brand across several media platforms including TV3 Business Focus, Asaase Radio Business One-on-One, Rush Hour, ETV African Women Voices, The Mirror amongst others.
Selina Beb brand was also featured by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) as part of their initiative to promote thriving Ghanaian businesses.
FashionGHANA Honors & Awards since launched in 2018 has set out to acknowledge and celebrate great talents in the Ghanaian fashion industry from designers, models, fashion schools and many more. It is their aim to use the platform to motivate the various talents and companies in the Ghanaian fashion industry as well as encourage a host of new creatives to aim high and be inspired by their efforts.
