Ghana’s Fashion Industry continues to thrive, driven by visionary creatives, industry pioneers, and influential stakeholders shaping its future. As the sector continues to gain global recognition, it has become important to spotlight and celebrate individuals and brands that are making an impact.   

The Top 25 Ghana Fashion Industry Power List will be a definitive ranking of the most influential and powerhouse figures in the Ghanaian fashion industry including designers, entrepreneurs, stylists, media personalities, photographers and advocates who are driving innovation, setting trends, and elevating the industry both here in Ghana and on the international stage.  

This inaugural list celebrates excellence, resilience, and the transformative power of fashion, highlighting those whose works are not only redefining Ghanaian creativity, culture, and fashion but also creating opportunities and inspiring the next generation. 

In no particular order, we are happy to unveil the leading figures for 2024 who are building legacies and shaping the future of Ghana’s fashion industry.

  1. AISHA AYENSU (DESIGNER, CHRISTIE BROWN)

Aisha Ayensu is the powerhouse behind the globally acclaimed fashion brand Christie Brown. Known for infusing modernism into carefully crafted traditional African aesthetics, Christie Brown has cemented its place as a leading brand in the promotion of African fashion and culture worldwide.

Ayensu founded the luxury Ghanaian fashion brand in 2008 and has over fifteen years of experience working as the brand’s Creative Director. 

Ayensu was highly celebrated for designing the stage costumes for Beyonce and her dancers for the ‘Mrs Carter World Tour’ in 2014. She has also designed costumes for global icons and celebrities like Alicia Keys, Gabrielle Union, Tina Knowles, Danai Gurira, Jackie Appiah, Genevieve Nnaji, Joselyn Dumas, Nomzamo Mbatha and many more. 

In 2010, she was the only Ghanaian designer at the time, chosen to feature at the Arise L’Afrique-a-Porter in Paris for the Paris Fashion Week. She was listed as Forbes 30 Most Promising Entrepreneurs in Africa in 2016. She won the Emerging Designer of the Year Award at the Arise Fashion Event in South Africa. She was Africa Designer of the Year at the 2018 and 2019 Glitz Style Awards and Best Fashion Designer at the 2018 Africa Prestigious Awards.

The brand has been featured in several notable media platforms including Vogue, CNN Style, Forbes and many more. 

  1. NANA AKUA ADDO (FASHION INFLUENCER)

Nana Akua Addo is a Ghanaian actress, fashion icon, and model known for her bold and extravagant fashion choices. She is widely recognized as one of the most stylish and fashionable celebrities in Ghana and has made significant waves on both local and international red carpets. Nana Akua Addo is celebrated for her dramatic and couture-inspired outfits, often wearing designs by top African and international fashion designers.

In addition to her fashion influence, she has received several accolades for her style, including awards at fashion events and recognition as a trendsetter in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. Besides fashion, Nana Akua Addo has appeared in a number of Ghanaian and Nigerian movies, building a reputation as an actress before becoming a full-fledged fashion icon.

Some of her most iconic fashion includes the 3D Eagle Dress at the AMVCA 2023, the Angelic Gown at Glitz Style Awards, The Sculptured Designer Gown for the AMVCA 2024.

She has won awards for the Glitz Style Awards Best Dressed Celebrity in 2016 and 2017, Best Dressed Celebrity at the 2015 Ghana Movie Awards, Best New Actress Award at the 2014 City People Entertainment Award and Most Stylish/Dressed Female Celebrity at the Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards.

Through her daring fashion statements and dedication to promoting African designers, Nana Akua Addo continues to redefine style norms and inspire and new generation of fashion enthusiasts.

  1. JOYCE ABABIO (FOUNDER, JACCD DESIGN INSTITUTE AFRICA)

Joyce Ababio is a prominent Ghanaian fashion designer, educator and Founder and President of the first and top design school in Ghana, JACCD Design Institute Africa. The college is known for its comprehensive programs in fashion design, graphic design, and other creative disciplines, helping to nurture a new generation of fashion and design professionals in West Africa.

In her aspiration to produce world class designers and bring out the creativity in people, Joyce established the JACCD Design Institute Africa, which has now trained thousands of fashion designers over the last two decades. She also established the Fashion Inclusion Production Company, a garment manufacturing company, which produces a large scale of garments that meet international standards for fashion companies and labels.

Joyce Ababio’s passionate dedication to her profession has earned her several awards and recognition in her career. Some of these include; Fashion Force (Glitz Women of the Year honors in 2017), Fashion Enterprise (XWAC Africa Award of Honor 2019), Lifetime Achievement Award at the Glitz Africa Fashion Week Awards, Best Achiever in Fashion, Jewelry and Lifestyle at the 5th Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards 2019, Lifetime Achievement Award at the Ghana Tertiary Fashion awards in 2020 and the First Lady’s Excellence Awards in Arts and Culture (International Women’s Day, 2020).

Joyce Ababio is highly regarded for her contributions to the Ghanaian fashion industry, both as a designer and as an educator. Her impact on the fashion industry in Ghana and beyond is significant, as many of her students have gone on to build successful careers in fashion and related fields

  1. CLAUDIA LUMOR, (FOUNDER, GLITZ AFRICA)

Claudia Lumor is a prominent Ghanaian entrepreneur, publisher, and humanitarian. She is the founder and CEO of Glitz Africa, a leading lifestyle brand that encompasses Glitz Africa Magazine, Glitz Style Awards, and Glitz Africa Fashion Week

Claudia Lumor’s inspiration to change the Ghanaian narrative and promote investment through the promotion of Ghana and Africa’s tourism led her to establish the Glitz Africa Magazine. It was established as a Pan-African aspirational lifestyle brand, that pioneered Ghana’s developing fashion industry.

The Glitz Africa Magazine now has its extensions including; Glitz Style Awards, Glitz Africa Living Magazine, SHE Boss Global, Ghana Female CEOs Summit, Ghana Women of the Year Honors, and She Summit.

For her commitment and innovation to the fashion industry and development of fashion in Ghana, Claudia Lumor has been celebrated on diverse platforms. Some of the platforms she has been honored on include BoF 500, Most inspirational Women in Ghana, 40 Most Inspirational Female Leaders in Ghana, Top 50 African Event Influencers, 50 Young Entrepreneurs in Ghana, Most Powerful Players in African Fashion in a UK Publication and many more.

Some of the awards she has received also include Start-up Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 and British Council Fashion and Design Young Creative Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015.

Claudia Lumor is also a UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador and actively advocates for women’s empowerment and health issues.

Her work has significantly shaped the Ghanaian fashion and lifestyle space, promoting local designers and celebrating African creativity.

  1. ROBERTA ANNAN (FOUNDER, AFRICA FASHION FOUNDATION)

Roberta Annan is a distinguished business leader, investor, and philanthropist, recognized for her transformative contributions to Africa’s creative and fashion industries. With a strong commitment to sustainable development, she has spearheaded initiatives that empower entrepreneurs, particularly women, across the continent.

She is the Founder and Managing Partner of Annan Capital Partners (ACP), an investment firm dedicated to fostering sustainable opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa. Through ACP, Roberta has been instrumental in driving strategic investments that fuel economic growth and innovation in the industry.

In 2014, she established the African Fashion Foundation (AFF), a pioneering organization that provides African designers with the resources, mentorship, and global market access necessary to elevate their brands. Under her leadership, AFF has become a key player in positioning African fashion on the global stage.

Furthering her commitment to the creative economy, Roberta co-founded the Impact Fund for African Creatives (IFFAC), a groundbreaking initiative that invests in Africa’s creative businesses. Through IFFAC, she has facilitated funding, strategic partnerships, and business development opportunities for emerging talents in the fashion, art, and design sectors.

Roberta Annan’s exceptional leadership has earned her numerous accolades. She holds the distinction of being the youngest African inducted into the African Leadership Hall of Fame, a testament to her influence and dedication to the continent’s development.

Her contributions to the fashion industry were recognized when she received the Global Style Icon Awards at Fashionpreneur of the Year (2020). She was also honored with The Business Executive Award at She Achiever Award (2020), highlighting her role as a trailblazing female entrepreneur.

In 2017, she was named among the 20 Under 40 Influential Business Leaders in Ghana, reinforcing her impact on Ghana’s business ecosystem. Her efforts to advance women’s leadership and entrepreneurship have been acknowledged with the Feminine Ghana Achievement Award and the Woman 2.1 Summit Award.

Aside her business ventures, Roberta is deeply invested in philanthropy, particularly in supporting women in Africa’s creative industries. Through mentorship programs, funding initiatives, and strategic partnerships, she continues to create pathways for aspiring entrepreneurs to thrive in competitive global markets.

  1. EMMANUEL EKUBAN, (EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, DEBONAIR AFRIK)

Best known as Nuel Bans, Emmanuel Ekuban is a pioneering digital fashion and lifestyle magazine publisher in West Africa.

He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief at Debonair Afrik established in 2014 as a digital media publication that covers fashion and lifestyle contents.

He is also the Creative Art Lead behind Debonair Afrik Studios, a fashion communication and production company. The company provides bespoke services including art direction, content creation, and production of shows and events for social, lifestyle and digital platforms.

Through Debonair Afrik, the Style Lounge Platform was created. It is an initiative focused on building fashion brands and promoting fashion businesses. Its aim is to shine a spotlight on the emerging trends in the fashion industry and provide participants with a refreshing view of fashion, blending the local Ghanaian fashion style trends while maintaining the highest international standards.

In 2022, Nuel Bans launched the Visionaries Fashioning Africa (VFA) as a transformative network that serves to connect and celebrate African creatives to redefine the global narrative surrounding African creativity.

Nuel Bans’ unrelenting drive, expertise, and passion for all things fashion and lifestyle have seen him work with high-profile brands/companies including Vogue, Maybelline New York, L’Oreal Paris, MasterCard Foundation, Open2culture (Germany) Instagram, Afrochella, GTP, and the African Fashion Foundation amongst many others.

He has received a number of recognitions for his work. Some of these include being named among Top 50 Ghanaian Bloggers by Avance Media, a Nomination for Glitz Style Awards in the ‘Blogger of the Year Category,’ Fashion Blogger of the Year Award at the Afromaa Awards, and being named Global Fashion Exchange Ambassador.

  1. SUMAIYA AND KABUTEY DZIETRO (DESIGNERS, PISTIS GHANA DESIGNERS)

Sumaiya Dzietror, is the co-founder and creative director of Pistis Ghana. Her husband, Kabutey Dzietror, is the co-founder and Head of Operations of Pistis Ghana. The two have worked together to revolutionize the fashion industry since establishing Pistis Ghana in 2008.

The Dzietrors founded Pistis Ghana after their graduation from the Vogue Style School of Fashion and Design(now JACCD), and have since then made major strides in the international markets while standing at the frontline of Africa’s fast-growing fashion industry.

Their brand has expanded with several subsidiaries including; Melange by Pistis, Pistis Nuptials, Pistis Kids, Pistis Man and many more and has also styled some notable personalities including; H.E Mrs Rebecca Akuffo-Addo (First lady of Ghana), Mrs Samira Bawumia (Second lady of Ghana), Naomi Campbell, and many others.

Their works have been featured in Vogue Italia, Vogue UK, Elle Magazine, and Marie Claire Magazine. Their brand has also received some awards including the Red-Carpet Designer of the Year Award at the Glitz Style Awards and the ETV Ghana Designer of the Year Award in 2016.

The Dzietrors founded the Pistis brand on a shared vision to provide the perfect blend of style, culture and innovation.

  1. NANA TAMAKLOE, (FOUNDER, FASHION GHANA, ACCRA FASHION WEEK)

Nana Tamakloe is the founder and CEO of Accra Fashion Week, one of the most prominent fashion events in Ghana showcasing local and international designers and creatives.

He is also the visionary behind Ghana’s leading fashion blog, FashionGHANA.com which has since its establishment become an award-winning blog that is dedicated to promoting African fashion, designers, models and fashion events. It also showcases an online store where African styles and trends are made available for purchase.

Nana Tamakloe represented Ghana at the 2023 BRICS+ Fashion Summit. He was also honored at the Kente and Kitenga Fashion Show and Champagne Brunch by the Memphis in May Committee during the Memphis in May Festival in 2022.

Nana Tamakloe continues to be a keyplayer in promoting African Fashion to the global world by shinning the spotlight on creatives and talents.

  1. EKOW BARNES, (WRITER, CREATIVE LEAD, WB GROUP)

Richmond Ekow Barnes is a Ghanaian fashion writer, editor, and brand/publication creative content producer. He is also the co-founder of WB Group, a creative production agency/talent management company that is dedicated to creating, promoting and distributing the work of African creators in various fields of the creative industry.

He has worked with diverse brands both locally and internationally. Including Essence, Burberry, Facebook, Glamour Magazine, Emirates, Mercedez-Benz, Uber and many more.

Ekow Barnes has 20+ publications from different magazines and editorials across the continent. He is also a writer for Vogue Italia and GQ South Africa.

Barnes is passionate about pushing and showcasing the works of emerging talents to the world.

  1. OHENEBA YAW BOAMAH, (DESIGNER, ABRANTIE THE GENTLEMAN)

Oheneba Yaw Boamah is the founder and Creative Director of Abrantie the Gentleman. A Ghanaian fashion brand and company that merges the richness of African tradition with sophistication and confidence.

Boamah has designed outfits for notable personalities including the former vice president of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, John Dumelo, Stonebwuoy, James Gardiner, Fiifi Coleman and many more. He has exhibited his works in fashion shows including Amsterdam Fashion Week, Glitz Africa Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Rhythms on da Runway, Durban Fashion Fair, SA Menswear Week and many others.

He has been recognized for his work in the fashion industry through several awards and honors. He was recognized at the EMY Africa Awards. He was again honored at the 2019 Fashion Ghana.com Honors and Awards.

Boamah has also won awards such as; Men’s wear Designer of the Year at the 2018 Glitz Style Awards, Designer of the Year at the 2015 Glitz Style Awards, Fashion Personality of the Year at the 40 under 40 Awards in 2017.

  1. KOFI OKYERE DARKO (FOUNDER, RHYTHMS ON THE RUNWAY) 

Kofi Okyere Darko, also known as KOD, is a Ghanaian broadcaster, master of ceremonies, and fashion designer. He is the CEO of Ghanaian clothing line, Nineteen 57 and the founder of Rhythms on da Runway.

He founded Rhythms on da Runway as an annual fashion and music event and since its inception in 2010, it has stood as a beacon of unity, fusing the vibrant forces of African fashion and music as it elevates the unlimited talents that dwell in Africa.

KOD has received numerous honors and recognition for his contribution to Ghana and Africa’s Fashion Industry. Some of which are; Most Stylish Radio Personality award at the 2015 Glitz Style Awards, Nomination as the Male Fashion Celebrity Icon of the Year Award at the 2016 Ghana Fashion Awards, 2017 Man of the Year Style Award (Most Fashionable Man of the Year) at the Exclusive Men of the Year Awards.

  1. KWAKU BEDIAKO (DESIGNER, CHOCOLATE CLOTHING)

Kwaku Bediako Oduro, also known as Kwaku Bediako, is a Ghanaian fashion designer and the Creative Director of Ghanaian fashion brand, Chocolate Clothing. Kwaku Bediako established Chocolate Clothes Global in 2013 as a men’s clothing line before the brand expanded into women’s fashion in 2018. He named his brand Chocolate Clothes Global, with the intent to throw light on the positive parts of products that originate from Ghana and Africa, as a way of reshaping the perception about products that originate from Ghana and Africa.

He has worked with a number of notable Ghanaian and International celebrities like Idris Elba, Boris Kodjoe, Steve Harvey, Jidenna, Mr. Eazi, Majid Michel and many more. His fashion brand clothed the Black Stars of Ghana for the 2014 World Cup. His brand has again been featured in Vogue Magazine, Congo Airways Magazine, CNN African Voices and BBC radio.

Kwaku has also won some awards for his astounding works including Best Fashion Designer of the Year at the 2018 EMY Africa Awards. He also won the maiden edition of Tailored African Fashion Fund in 2018.

  1. NELLY HAGAN (DUABA SERWAA-DESIGNER)

Nelly Hagan is a celebrated Ghanaian fashion designer and the creative force behind Duaba Serwa. Since its inception in 2011, Duaba Serwa has been at the forefront of innovative design, cultural preservation, and artisan empowerment.

At the heart of Duaba Serwa’s design philosophy is its signature triangular origami pleat, a distinctive feature that showcases Nelly’s mastery of intricate detailing and structural construction. This unique element not only sets the brand apart but also reflects her commitment to craftsmanship.

Aside designing, Nelly is dedicated to sustaining African textile heritage through collaborating with highly skilled artisans in Ghana and Burkina Faso to preserve traditional weaving techniques.

Nelly’s work has gained her international attention, with Duaba Serwa being featured in prestigious publications and media outlets, including Vogue, Vanity Fair, CNN, BBC, and DW. Also, her designs have also graced the runways of: ARISE Magazine Fashion Week, Lagos, Ghana Fashion and Design Week (2012) and Mercedes-Benz Africa Fashion Week, Johannesburg.

Nelly’s contributions to fashion have earned her numerous accolades, including: Excellence in Creative Arts Honor at 9th Ghana Women of the Year Honors, Couture Designer of the Year (2013) at Glitz Africa Fashion Fusion Award and Africa Fusion Designer of the Year (2013) at GUBA (Ghana UK Based Achievements) Awards.

Through dedication to innovation, Nelly Hagan-Deegbe continues to shape the narrative of African fashion on the global stage.

  1. STEFANIA MANFREDA (ELLE LOKKO, LOKKOHOUSE-CURATOR)

Stefania Manfreda is an experienced art director and curator with a demonstrated history of working in the creative and retail industries. With over 13 years of experience in curating local fashion and cultural talent, she has established herself as a key figure in the fashion industry.

As the founder of Elle Lokko, she created Accra’s first women’s concept store, which offers a diverse range of products, from clothing to organic beauty items.

Stephanie also leads Lokko House, which functions as an event space for innovative activities such as thrift shopping experiences. These initiatives have provided a platform for young creatives to showcase their work.

Stephanie has also collaborated with organizations like the Ghana Enterprise Agency and the Mastercard Foundation to support women-owned businesses, mentor emerging female designers, and helping them establish an online presence.

  1. ALEXANDRINA SANDRA DON-ARTHUR (ALEXIGLAM STUDIO MAKEUP ARTIST)

Alexandrina Sandra Don-Arthur is the founder and CEO of Alexiglam Studio, a Ghanaian beauty and makeup company that provides beauty services to women all over the world. Through her beauty brand and academy, she has promoted the African beauty narrative and coached young makeup artists.

She is known for her work with celebrities and political figures, including the former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings; Ghana’s first female Chief of Staff, Frema Osei-Opare; Jackie Appiah; Omotola Jalade Ekehinde; Joselyn Dumas; and DJ Cuppy.

Alexandrina was selected to be part of Maybelline New York’s Ghana Board of Influence, where she contributed to advancing the brand’s activities in Ghana. Her partnership with Maybelline led to her role as the official makeup artist for the brand at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) in 2018, where she worked on shows such as Carolina Herrera, Rochambeau, LaQuan Smith, Naeem Khan, and Jonathan Simkhai. She also hosted the first African-dedicated makeup show called Makeup Diaries, which aired on DStv.

In addition, Alexandrina has worked with top magazines such as Glitz Africa, Debonairafrik, Dream Wedding, and Haute Canoe as the lead makeup artist for their editorials.

She was also the lead makeup artist for a mini-show in November 2018 during the visit of Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, to Ghana.

Alexandrina has won several awards, including the Best Editorial Makeup Artist Award in 2016 and 2018 at the Ghana Makeup Awards, in recognition of her exceptional work in the beauty industry.

  1. AWURA ABENA AGYEMAN (WEAR GHANA-DESIGNER)

Awura Abena Agyeman, co-founder of WEAR Ghana, is making significant strides in the industry by redefining Ghanaian fashion and empowering women through entrepreneurship. As a visionary leader, Awura Abena has played a crucial role in transitioning WEAR Ghana from bespoke tailoring to ready-to-wear collections, enabling a broader market reach. 

This evolution has been strengthened through participation in key industry programs like the Africa Fashion and Textile Accelerator Network, which has enhanced the brand’s product development and supply chain strategies. Under her leadership, WEAR Ghana has built a workforce where 90% of employees are women, reinforcing her commitment to female empowerment and economic transformation. 

The brand’s distinct and vibrant designs have gained widespread recognition, dressing influential personalities, including U.S. Ambassador to Ghana, Stephanie S. Sullivan.

Beyond fashion, Awura Abena champions entrepreneurship as a drive for Africa’s transformation, striving to build a global community that celebrates and amplifies African excellence.

Through her entrepreneurship initiatives, the brand has expanded its availability beyond Ghana, securing partnerships with retailers in countries like South Africa, making its unique pieces accessible to a wider clientele.

  1. SELINA BEBAAKO-MENSAH (SELINA BEB, ACCESSORIES DESIGNER)

For over a decade, Selina Bebaako-Mensah has been a driving force in Ghana’s fashion industry, redefining luxury accessories through her brand, Selina Beb. Her distinctive handbags, jewelry, and fashion accessories have seamlessly blended traditional African aesthetics with contemporary style, earning her both local and international recognition. Her exceptional work has been celebrated within Ghana, earning her the Accessories Designer of the Year award at the Glitz Style Awards (2015) and the Exceptional Achievement in High-End Fashion Accessories Award at the Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards (2016).

In 2017, Selina’s innovation and craftsmanship were recognized on a global stage when she received two awards at the 6th Bi-Annual European & International Women Inventors, Innovators & Entrepreneurs Exhibition, Conference & Awards.

 In 2020, Selina Beb was awarded Accessories Designer of the Year and Most Innovative Fashion Brand, further solidifying its impact in the fashion space.

The brand’s excellence led to its inclusion in Beyoncé’s Black Parade Directory, a curated list celebrating Black-owned businesses, affirming Selina Beb’s status as a brand of international significance.

 In 2022, Selina Beb was selected as part of Meta’s “Made by Africa; Loved by the World” campaign, spotlighting African brands making a global impact.

Beyond her creative work, Selina is a champion of African craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, consistently using her platform to showcase the richness of African culture through fashion. Through Selina Beb, she continues to elevate Ghanaian fashion onto the world stage, one exquisite accessory at a time.

  1. GEORGINA MENSAH (HEAD OF MARKETING, TEXSTYLES GHANA LTD)

Georgina Gifty Mensah is a dynamic marketing professional with over two decades of experience across multiple industries, including telecommunications, automotive, and fashion. Since 2012, she has served as the Marketing Manager for Woodin International, a leading African textile brand under the Vlisco Group, where she has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s image and expanding its reach across the continent.

Under Georgina’s leadership, Woodin has successfully launched several collections that celebrate African culture while embracing modern trends. Notable collections include: Jonction de Woodin, known for its bold colors and unique prints, this collection highlights the fusion of African heritage and contemporary design and Evasion de Woodin ,a vibrant floral-inspired collection designed for the modern, stylish woman.

To further engage customers, Georgina spearheaded the launch of a 12-episode online series that provided an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into Woodin’s creative processes. This initiative reinforced the brand’s commitment to innovation, quality, and storytelling in African fashion.

Her passion for African fashion, innovation, and strategic marketing has not only elevated Woodin’s brand identity but has also played a significant role in shaping the broader African fashion industry. Through her vision, Woodin remains a trend-conscious and culturally resonant brand, appealing to a diverse global audience

Georgina’s impact extends beyond Woodin, positioning her as a key figure in Africa’s fashion and marketing industries. In 2019, she was recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential CMOs in Ghana, a testament to her strategic vision, leadership, and contributions to brand development.

Georgina was recently appointed to the position of Head of Marketing for the Texstyles Ghana Ltd which comprises Woodin, GTP & Vlisco.

  1. GIDEON RAJI (GLOBAL OVATIONS -EVENTS PRODUCER)

Gideon Raji is a trailblazer Ghanaian entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of Global Ovations Ltd, a leading events and marketing company that has significantly influenced Africa’s fashion, business, and entertainment industries.

Through Global Ovations he has led some of Ghana’s notable events such as Global Fashion Week (formerly Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week) a platform which has propelled African designers and models onto the global stage, reinforcing Ghana’s role in the international fashion industry. Women’s Choice Awards Africa is a platform that champions women’s achievements across various industries, showing Raji’s commitment to empowerment and gender inclusivity.

Additionally, he has organized events such as: National Business Honours –a premier event recognizing excellence, innovation, and resilience within Ghana’s business sector and National FMCG Summit and Awards which focuses on celebrating industry leaders in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, this initiative fosters growth and innovation in one of Africa’s most dynamic markets.

His contributions to fashion industries and production of African events has earned him awards including Fashion Event of the Year (2016) at Afroma Awards, BID Quality Achievement Award (2018) and Experiential Event Producer of the Year (GES2023)  Recognizing his expertise in curating immersive, world-class event experiences.

Also, through strategic partnerships with international brands, Raji has successfully expanded Global Ovations’ reach with collaborations with IFW-Dubai, RVK-SA, and FCC Productions Rwanda have led to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Kigali, further positioning Africa as a hub for high-fashion and luxury events.

  1. DIONNE SLASH GAVIN (MODEL SCOUT-DSG) 

Dionne Slash Gavin is a model scout, agent, and fashion producer celebrated for his exceptional influence in the modeling and fashion industry. As the CEO of DSG Model Management, he has played a vital role in discovering, nurturing and positioning models for success on both local and international platforms

Through DSG Model Management, Dionne has nurtured and groomed models with the right skills to succeed in the modelling industry. He is also known for his expertise in runway choreography having choreographed for fashion shows like Accra Fashion Week, Rhythms on da Runway, and Future Face Africa and also serves as a Casting Director in countries like Togo and Morocco.

  1. SACHA OKOH (SO AESTHETICS, VIVA ACCRA -ENTREPRENEUR)

Sacha Okoh is a beauty and fashion entrepreneur, widely recognized for her innovative contributions to the Ghanaian beauty industry. As a certified makeup artist and business leader, she has established a series of successful ventures that continue to shape the local and international beauty landscape.

Founded by Sacha, SO Aesthetic is one of Ghana’s pioneering makeup brands, designed to cater to the unique beauty needs of African women. The brand prioritizes quality, inclusivity, and innovation, offering a diverse range of products that suit various skin tones. In 2018, SO Aesthetic launched the Ultra Coverage Foundation in eight shades, a product that won the Best New Makeup Base Product at the 2019 Pure Beauty Global Awards in Dubai. That same year, the brand was named Ghanaian Owned Makeup Brand of the Year at the Ghana Makeup Awards. SO Aesthetic currently operates two retail makeup studios in Osu and East Legon, Accra, providing premium beauty products and services.

She is also a co-founder of Viva Accra and Viva Concept Store, a luxury fashion store in Accra, curating global established and emerging brands for their clients.

  1. AMOS KOBINA BENYARKO (KUMASI FASHION WEEK, FOUNDER)

Amos Kobina Benyarko is a notable figure in Ghana’s fashion industry, celebrated for his contributions as the founder and executive producer of Kumasi Fashion Week.

In 2011, Amos initiated Kumasi Fashion Week, originally known as KNUST Fashion Week, a  student-led event at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). What began as a university-driven initiative has since evolved into one of Ghana’s most prominent fashion events, providing a platform for designers, models, and fashion entrepreneurs. His commitment to industry education was evident in the early editions of Kumasi Fashion Week, where he organized makeup training sessions to equip aspiring artists with practical skills.

Apart from event production and doubling as a Makeup Artist, Amos has significantly impacted the modeling industry through Ayo A Models GH, a talent management agency he founded around 2012. The agency, which began as a small group at KNUST, grew into a reputable platform for discovering and developing modeling talent in Ghana.

With a career spanning several years, she has established herself as a sought-after model and a visionary entrepreneur, committed to promoting African fashion on both local and international platforms.

Her modeling career has seen her grace the runways of some of the region’s most prestigious fashion events, including Elima Fashion Festival, Glitz Africa Fashion Week, and Ghana Fashion Week. Quincy Koranteng (popularly known as Asephua) is a Ghanaian fashion photographer and the CEO of Vine Imagery, a photography company renowned for its compelling visual storytelling in the fashion industry. His expertise and creative vision have positioned him as a key figure in documenting and promoting Ghanaian fashion on both local and international platforms.

Asephua has shot most fashion runways happening in Ghana and has been instrumental in capturing the essence of the events, showcasing designs from both emerging and established designers. His work has contributed to elevating the visibility of Ghanaian fashion, earning him recognition as one of the top photographers shaping the country’s fashion narrative. 

Aside event photography, Quincy has collaborated with leading fashion brands and designers, and models in bringing their creative visions to life through high-quality imagery. His work with Abrantie The Gentleman, Woodin Ghana, Christie Brown, and models and many more highlights his ability to capture the artistry and craftsmanship behind each collection.
