The Fashionistas in Style at The Editor’s Meet Brunch 2021
The Editor’s Meet has become one of the fashion events in Ghana to look out for at the beginning of each year. This year being in its third year didn’t disappoint as usual.
The fashion brunch which is also dubbed “The official new year fashion event” by Debonair Afrik, a leading fashion magazine house, events and creative studio here in Accra – led by its founder, Nuel Bans. The event seeks to gather fashion creatives in Ghana and on the continent to share ideas, build business connections, highlight challenges faced in the creative space, and find ways to solve them, and to also engage in conversations that will build the fashion and creative space in Ghana; all over an assortment of delicious meals, snacks and throat soothing drinks.
This year’s event was held on January 9th, 2020 at the plush tea garden of Telande on the theme, “Celebrating Black Creative Excellence”. Media personality, Vanessa Gyan, hosted the event with David Boanuah, a videographer, Stephen Tayo, a renowed photographer, Leroy Wadie, Eniafe Momodu, Managing Editor of Glam Africa, as special guests for the event.
Some creatives and industry players that attended the networking brunch included; Naa Adjeley, founder and Chief Editor of trendsnblendsgh, Faith Senam, a fashion PR specialist and founder of e’april PR, Ekow Barnes, Media personality, Chris Kata, fashion creator and producer, Nana Mensah, a fashion producer. Fashion designers included; Abrantie the Gentleman, Jermaine Bleu, House of Paon, Kelvincent, and Mis Evys.
As per the dress code of the event, creatives were clad in suits and fascinators – which is one of the highlights of the yearly event since creatives become extra intentional and creative with their looks.
